So, the big question is: Can anyone make money on Twitter from direct marketing efforts in a long term sustainable way and what effect or non effect is taking place right now as a result of the barrage of marketing Tweets?

There has been a great deal of focus and outright encouragement from online marketers directed at new followers on Twitter that deserves attention and discussion. From what I have read, it seems that there are many opinions about sending out marketing tweets and how other tweeters feel about that. All input and feedback on this topic is appreciated if you wish to share your ideas and feelings on the subject, you are encouraged to do so.

From my own personal viewpoint, it seems that many marketers who have created some form or another of electronic intellectual property that is sellable, are encouraging newer tweeters to directly sell those products as unknowing affiliate sales channels with little consideration for the new tweeter while making promises of gaining massive wealth. Nothing wrong with anyone making money. It’s important to know how to do that but is it possible that new tweeters are being misled in some or many of these cases?

One of my most successful ventures ended up becoming a multi million dollar telephone company that spawned from a simple idea of inspiration that people using cell phones would like to pay a lower rate. What a concept. Right? At that time, the average cell phone bill for business users was close to $300 per month per phone.
